Schools see surge in failing students as COVID wreaks havoc on grades

As schools desperately try to keep students hooked on the remote learning bandwagon, spending hours on zoom classes everyday, instead of unschooling, the reality is that remote learning is failing children. Estimates below show that nearly 50% of students are failing. Children are unmotivated to learn in such a stressful environment when now is the perfect opportunity to take learning into their own hands. Sadly, the only thing children are learning now is how to live in fear. The bigger pandemic is that we are failing a whole generation of children who were already bursting from the seams under so much pressure before the coronavirus which has created a mental health crisis in which suicide is skyrocketing. Suicides always peak during the school year and significantly drop during the summer.
