Reading benefits with your kids goes beyond learning

As a parent, you have always been an avid reader and have instilled a love of literature in your children.

But your teenage son seems to have lost his interest in reading. You try everything you can think of to get him back into books - from offering him his favorite genres to letting him borrow your e-reader -but nothing seems to work. So finally, desperate to reignite his passion for reading, you decide to take matters into your own hands.

You start by setting aside a certain time each day for the two of you to read together and then devise creative ways to make reading more interactive, such as starting a book club or making reading a part of your family’s game night. As you work together to find what works for your son, you realize that the bond between a parent and child is strengthened through shared experiences and a shared love of the written word.
