This reminds me of the phrase “nice guys finish last” which is often used to describe the fact that women seemingly say they go for “nice guys” but actually go for jerks. So the bullies/jerks get the women and more money…likely followed by a divorce if they have an abusive relationship.
This study does align with the age old mantra, Survival of the Fittest…
